French Bulldogs-Double the Trouble, Double the Fun!

Samantha and her husband called Sit Happens RVA in dire need of training for their two French bulldogs. She thought they were well enough behaved, until they found out they had a baby on the way! With all the preparation for their new addition, they quickly realized the pups needed to be trained before the baby came. The frenchies were about a year and two years old and were still struggling with potty training. They weren’t able to walk on a leash without pulling Samantha and her husband all over the place. They also had very destructive behaviors inside of the house: chewing furniture, peeing on the beds and couches, and serious boundary issues. Samantha didn’t realize it, but they had some serious separation anxiety as well.

“We thought the little things they did were cute, and we really let them get away with everything. Well, fast forward to us expecting our first child, and we regretted a lot of things we did, and didn’t do, as far as training goes with our pups.”

We enrolled the French Bulldogs in our 7-day board and train program. Through this program we train the dogs to respond to low frequency electronic collars. Rather than using the collars as a form of punishment we used them to redirect the frenchies’ attention, and to give them the structure they so desperately needed.

Now Samantha and her family can enjoy all Richmond has to offer. Whether they bring the dogs along for a stroll on the Canal Walk, or leave them at home for a nice dinner in the Fan, they don’t have to worry about the frenchies’ destructive behaviors.
