Eros, a Rhodesian Ridgeback and Lab mix, came to Sit Happens RVA through Richmond Animal League. He was a long time resident and unfortunately developed some anxiety based issues. He was very well cared for by the staff and volunteers at RAL, but he needed some help adjusting to life in his new home.

After spending most of his early life in a shelter, Eros was friendly, but not well socialized. He was anxious around other dogs, and extremely high energy inside and outside of the house. Due to his upbringing, Eros had never learned to walk on a leash.  Greetings in the house consisted of Eros  jumping and crawling all over guests. At 80 pounds, he wasn’t exactly a lap dog, but that didn’t stop him from trying!

Deanna placed Eros in our 7 day board and train program. After his stay with Sit Happens RVA, Eros learned some manners, like how to properly greet humans and new dogs. Also he learned to walk with a loose leash in a proper heel position. We taught Eros recall skills that now allow him to be off leash. Deanna can now enjoy walks around her neighborhood as well as trips to the park with Eros, on or off his leash.
